Rusk County Historical Commission

The Texas Legislature set up the system of county historical commissions(CHC) to assist local commissioners courts and the Texas Historical Commission(THC) in the preservation of each county's historic and cultural resources.
Its mission is to protect and preserve the County's historic and prehistoric resources for the use, education, enjoyment and economic benefit of present and future generations.

The Rusk County Historical Commission Building Project needs your help. This is for the replacement of the research and archives center due to the deterioration of the existing building and for the ever growing collection of Rusk County Historical and Genealogical information.
